Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Electrical Cost Estimator located in Brooklyn, NY. The Assistant Estimator will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with preparing bids on municipal infrastructure projects. This position offers IBEW Electrical Union Benefits (Local 3).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare project binder and bid documents for review
• Update bid log
• Complete counts and enter into Accubid
• Send out vendor packages and scope letters
• Follow up with vendor quotes and update vendors on addenda changes
• Prepare draft scope and proposal letters
• Bid results follow ups
• Complete counts for change orders
• Assists chief estimator with other tasks and duties as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in engineering or relevant filed a plus
• Internship or up to 1 year of relevant estimating experience a plus
• Willing to be trained and make Estimating your career
• Highly motivated team player
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat software
• Proficient with BlueBeam a plus
• Proficient with Accubid and Live Count estimating software a plus
