Assistant General Manager, Chief Technology OfficerGeneral Description & Classification Standards:The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) serves as a key executive within the Information Technology (IT) department reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer. This role is responsible for overseeing innovative projects across software engineering, network infrastructure, software security, and AI integration. The successful candidate will lead highly technical professionals, ensuring the seamless deployment of new initiatives and alignment with organizational objectives.Key Responsibilities:Lead deployment of new capabilities to cloud and on-premises environments.Ensure scalability, reliability, and security.Provide network infrastructure vision for the organization.Consistently look to innovate within the network infrastructure space.Possess an understanding of DevSecOps principles and practices.Understand modern development methodologies such as Agile.Incorporate the DevSecOps culture and mindset with all technology practices.Cybersecurity Leadership:Implement modern cybersecurity practices including Zero-Trust and DevSecOps.Oversee security related to software engineering and network infrastructure.Work with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) on innovative practices.Technical Leadership:Lead and mentor highly technical professionals.Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Collaboration with Operations Team:Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless hand-over of new initiatives, optimizing operational efficiency and effectiveness.Minimum Qualifications:Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, cybersecurity, or significant demonstrated experience with the essential duties & responsibilities listed.Minimum of 10 years' experience leading engineering teams.Leadership and Communication:Significant experience as an IT leader in medium to large organizations.Demonstrated ability to incorporate core values of integrity, collaboration, accountability, respect, and excellence (ICARE).Preferred Qualifications:Advanced Education and Experience:Master's degree in software engineering, engineering, information systems management, or extensive experience as a senior IT executive overseeing engineering practices.Communication and Collaboration Skills:Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage conflict, build consensus, and facilitate collaboration among various stakeholders.Extensive experience leading projects related to standing up enterprise cloud environments, DevSecOps software factories, and modern cybersecurity practices.Certified ScrumMaster.CISM or CISSP.AWS, Azure, or Google cloud certification.Overall Responsibility Statement:These are typical responsibilities for this position.
