Job Description

As a member of the OSU Golf Club team this position will have duties that include, but are not limited to managing the outside operation, managing daily play, tournament and outing management, supervising and training the outside staff, and assisting with the merchandise operation. This position must demonstrate strong leadership skills as they will be responsible for training and supervising the outside operations staff. This position should have good working knowledge of the Jonas Software System and be able to navigate the system. This position shall demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and problem solving skills. This position shall work in conjunction with the Professional Staff. This position works in a creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged.

Minimum Education Required

Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Qualifications

REQUIRED: 2 yrs experience as assistant or apprentice at private club. Knowledge and ability to provide lessons in golf technique, rules, and etiquette. Affiliation with the PGA/LPGA of America is required (must be enrolled in the PGA/LPGA Apprentice Program and working towards Class A Membership with the PGA/LPGA of America). Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

DESIRED: PGA Membership (Class B Member) with PGA of America. Experience in customer service and basic accounting desired. Experience with computer software programs desired.
