Job Description Assistant Manager- Coney Island Brewery - ( 210000O1 ) We are currently hiring a **Assistant Manager at our Coney Island Brewery** in **New York**.Tap Room Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the General Manager with the day-to-day operations of the Tap Room at Coney Island Brewing; which includes but is not limited to; opening and closing the Tap Room, proper staffing and scheduling, safety and sales building, completing the TR Managers Opening Checklist, cash handling and data entry. They are also responsible for assisting the General Manager in creating a positive guest experience by providing the Tap Room team with superior beer education and hospitality training. T he team member will assist in enforcing all safety protocols, employee policies, participate in disciplinary conversations and terminations, as needed. The Tap Room Assistant Manager will help ensure all required position trainings and general part-time employee trainings are completed in a timely manner and will work with the Tap Room Assistant Managers to assist the General Manager in continuously developing, evaluating and coaching our Tap Room Team. + Forecasting, ordering, and receiving beer for the Tap Room as well as maintaining proper beer inventory levels.

+ Creating draft menus and updating signage/materials as needed.

+ Continuously developing an exceptional tour and hospitality experience for Tap Room guests.

+ Exuding culture, creativity and fun on every shift by following the Coney Island Brewing and Boston Beer Company Statement and Operating guidelines.

Facility and Supply Inventory Management Responsibilities

+ Ensures TR Facilities are fully functioning on a daily basis, reporting issues requiring attention to the General Manager and CIB Reliance Specialist while driving ongoing improvements to the TR.

+ Supplies tracks and forecasts Tap Room supply needs, i.e. glassware, cleaning supplies, gift cards, bar supplies, etc. Ensures orders are placed as needed to keep par levels in line with business needs.

+ Processes, approves, and logs all supply shipments as needed, inputs new inventory items into POS.

+ Conducts inventory as needed weekly and/or monthly based on area of responsibility.

+ Works with CIB and/or BBC to address inventory discrepancies and work on solutions to control shrinkage.

+ Responsible for strong customer service and creating a clean, positive environment for brewery guests. Responsible for overseeing sales transactions for all guests within the Square POS system

+ Provides insight and leadership in the overall strategic initiative of the Angel City Brand by attending annual meetings and discussing goals & strategies on weekly conference calls.

+ Works closely with and manages relationship with local vendors on specialized products.

+ Offers insight/input into supply management at CIB and Boston Beer Company Local Taprooms (as needed and warranted). + Partners with General Manager and Tap Room Assistant Managers to ensure all Tap Room employees have completed required certifications and trainings.

+ Ensures that the cleanliness of the Tap Room and the safety of our guests and employees are always maintained.

+ Works with internal and contracted security to ensure all Tap Room policies and all industry legal protocols are followed.

Training and development partners with the General Manager and Tap Room Assistant Managers on:

+ Ensuring all Tap Room employees receive position training bartenders, security, retail, tour guides, bar backs, etc., and any other general employee training.

+ Participates in hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and training of Retail Associates and all Tap Room employees.

+ Creates, revises, and facilitates continued beer education training for all Tap Room staff.

+ Partners with General Manager to complete employee evaluations on an annual basis.

+ Assists with development of Key Holders, Lead Guards and all other hourly Tap Room employees. * Minimum 2+ years experience in customer service/retail environment.

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Ability to work in an organized and detail-oriented manner.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-task environment and under time constraints and deadlines.
