What we are looking for:JARS is seeking an Assistant Manager who will be responsible for assisting in managing all day-to-day operations of the dispensary in accordance with the state, CRA and Company rules and policies. As our Assistant Store Manager, you aid the Store Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the store as needed. You train, coach, and motivate our Retail Representatives to be the most knowledgeable, respected sales associates in the industry. The Assistant Manager provides support to the General Manager, Retail Representatives, Floor Leads and Receptionists. This includes: sales coaching, training, providing policy and procedure updates, keeping updated with industry news and product information.The day-to-day Assistant Manager responsibilities will revolve around supporting the in-store team, fostering an exception customer experience, and ensuring smooth store operationsJob Duties Communicate with and coach staff on a regular basis to ensure the dispensary's excellence in sales & servicePlacing store supplies orders with General Manager approvalParticipate in implementing best practices, regulatory processes, internal policies, and standardized proceduresCarries out all assigned operational, sales and retail tasks put forth by the companyProtect company assets and minimize loss by ensuring all store standards and operating procedures are met, including workplace safety, inventory control, and loss preventionAssist General Manager with interviews, disciplinary actions, performance reviews and trainingsAssists with Inventory tasks when needed and requestedServes as a resource for dispensary staff concerning products and services, policies and procedures, industry news and changes in regulationsResponds to all staff questions, concerns or suggestionsResolves any conflict immediatelyManage and inspire internal staff to deliver the highest level of customer service that embodies the JARS brand, therefore, increasing customer retentionUtilize reporting tools available on POS system to motivate employees to push sales and promotionsServe as the locations secondary point-of-contact in the absence of the GMManage and provide training for internal staff to consistently deliver the highest level of customer serviceMakes sure marketing materials and displays are installed properly within the storePromote a culture of teamwork by working alongside the management team, establishing priorities, and providing clear directionBe knowledgeable of, and ensure compliance with JARS policies, procedures, and standardsDirect and communicate goals and duties with Retail Representatives and Floor LeadsMaintain a strong, professional, and communicative relationship with the General ManagerOther duties may be assigned, as needed or warranted, by upper management Requirements At least 2 years of experience working in retail & hospitalityPrior experience in management role is strongly preferredExceptional interpersonal, communication and customer service skillsAbility to identify top talent and train/develop/retain great peopleKnowledge of or a willingness to learn state specific cannabis laws and regulatory complianceMust have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPointStrong problem solving and decision-making skillsTreats people with respect, keeps commitments, inspires the trust of others, works with integrity and ethically, upholds organizational goalsMust have Team Player mentalityMust have strong mathematical and accounting skillsMust be 21 years of age or olderHigh school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is requiredMust be willing to submit to a background check Work Atmosphere/Physical Demands Requires prolonged standing and some bending, stooping, and stretchingAbility to operate a computer, POS system and other office equipmentMoving up to 30 pounds on occasionWork will generally be performed in a fast-paced retail cannabis dispensaryInvolves frequent contact with patients and staffWill require working varied hours/day, including nights weekends, holidays, and/or events on occasion Employee Benefits Free Employee Assistance ProgramHealth, Dental & Vision Insurance (full-time employees only)401(k) PlanPaid Time OffEmployee DiscountMonthly Bonus IncentivesInternal Growth Opportunities JARS Cannabis is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
