Retail Store Manager Assistant
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Greet customers and provide them assistance to ascertain what they want or need.
* Assist customers with unloading vehicles with donated items.
* Look through donated items and discard and/or reject items that are not acceptable items.
* Sort through approved donations, distribute to designated areas.
* Crush down cardboard, emptying trash cans and other cleaning duties as assigned.
* Assist all customers in a friendly and courteous fashion and be knowledgeable about
* merchandise.
* Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions and security practices.
* Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts and know how to prevent and handle them. .
* Promote safety and correct/report all safety concerns immediately.
* Attends and participates in all required meetings as requested by the Retail Manager.
* Complete all required training in a timely manner.
* Work with co-workers as a team to promote a positive and motivating work
* environment.
* Assist Retail Manager in providing training and support to fellow employees and volunteers.
* Assist Retail Manager in providing supervision to employees and volunteers ensuring that all duties are being completed.
* Completes all sales transactions according to store policies and practices.
* Ensure all merchandise is checked, priced, labeled and stocked according to store policies.
* Assure a safe environment and completion of necessary cleaning duties, working with employees to complete maintenance and cleaning activities. All areas must be left clean at the end of the shift.
* Performs work assignments in a thorough, accurate, and orderly manner.
* Fulfill the duties of the Retail Manager when they are absent.

Requirements:
* High School Diploma or GED preferred
* Good communication (verbal and written), organizational and leadership skills.
* Must be18 years of age.
* Valid Class C driver's license required
* Ability to pass a health assessment at time of hire and ability to maintain up to date health assessment as requested per regulations.
* Clearance from all applicable background checks as required by service standards.
* Provide proof of state minimum liability insurance coverage.
