Saint Joseph's College of Maine seeks a part-time Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach! The Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach will assist in the development and management of all phases of the Saint Joseph's College Lacrosse program. The Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach will assist the Head Coach in all aspects of teaching the game including planning, organization, and execution in practice and game settings. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Attend all games
  • Assist with training and teaching student-athletes
  • Recruitment of high school student-athletes (calling prospects, traveling to watch games, meeting recruits and parents during campus visits, etc.)
  • Primary responsibility will be working with Faceoff athletes at practices and running the substitution box during games
  • Assist with home and away game preparation and strategy
  • Prepare for opponents
  • Assist with team travel
  • Participate in team fundraising activities
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong knowledge of the game of lacrosse, faceoff position
  • An ability to communicate clearly and work closely with players and coaches
  • The willingness to attend all practices and contests both during weekdays and on weekends
  • Playing experience preferred
  • Coaching Experience preferred
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Sincere interest in providing a valuable well-rounded team experience to the Saint Joseph's College student-athletes
  • Experience in competitive lacrosse and recruiting high school students preferred
  • Capable of communicating well with head coach and student-athletes
