Are you a highly organized individual with a passion for supporting dynamic retail operations? We are seeking a Merchandise Assistant to join our team and provide critical administrative and clerical support to our Buyers and AVP, Merchandise Manager. In this role, you'll be a key point of contact between our internal teams and vendors, helping to manage purchase orders, vendor relations, and other essential tasks to ensure smooth business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase Order Management: Prepare and process domestic and import purchase orders, track order status, and communicate with Planning & Allocation to ensure timely execution.
- Vendor Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for 50+ vendors, handling inquiries, tracking shipments, and resolving issues related to purchase orders and allocations.
- Administrative Support: Organize weekly reports, handle travel arrangements for the buying team, and assist with scheduling vendor and agent meetings.
- Sample Coordination: Manage pre-production and production samples, track receipt and returns, and maintain an organized sample room for buyer review.
- General Office Duties: Assist in organizing files, preparing documents, and managing special projects such as creating spreadsheets and tracking weekly spend.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Previous experience in a retail or merchandising environment is a plus
