The 142-bed full-service hospital is located in Washington and has earned national designation as a Primary Stroke Center. It is home to a 16-bed emergency department that serves approximately 25,000 patients per year, as well as the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center - a provider of leading-edge chemotherapy and radiation therapy, among other cancer services. ECU Health Beaufort also offers general medical and surgical services, operative services, a women's birthing center, rehabilitation services and outpatient clinics.Position SummaryPlan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures.Use professional nursing judgment to individualize the plan of care based on assessment of the patients baseline needs and response to care.Delegate tasks and supervises the activities of unlicensed care providers.Monitor and initiate corrective action to maintain the environment of care including equipment and material resources.Leads/guides licensed practical nurses, nurse aides and ancillary associates in the delivery of patient care.Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.Assist the Nurse Manager in promoting safe, cost effective, quality patient care.Minimum RequirementsGraduated from an accredited Nursing Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing- or higher.Licensed by the NCBON.American Heart Association Basic Life Support upon hire, American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred.Other InformationLocation/Department: ECU Health Beaufort (Washington, NC) - Operating Room (OR)This leadership role is full-time (40hrs/week) - 10 hour shifts - Monday to ThursdayRotating call for nights, weekends, and holidays.General StatementIt is the goal of ECU Health and its entities to employ the most qualified individual who best matches the requirements for the vacant position.Offers of employment are subject to successful completion of all pre-employment screenings, which may include an occupational health screening, criminal record check, education, reference, and licensure verification.We value diversity and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
