Exciting Career Opportunity: Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) A distinguished Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) in the Cheektowaga area is actively seeking a qualified and dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our exceptional team. This is an outstanding opportunity to assist our Director of Nursing (DON) with daily responsibilities and contribute to the delivery of top-tier care to our residents. Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) in managing day-to-day operations while maintaining high-quality care standards.
• Conduct weekly Wound/Skin Rounds , ensuring optimal care for our residents.
• Promote effective communication and foster a collaborative work environment among the nursing staff.
• Address the nursing and medical needs of residents, ensuring their well-being and comfort.
• Be on call 24/7 , providing leadership and support when needed.
• Oversee and coordinate comprehensive planning for nursing services.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of nursing theory and practices , ensuring best practices are followed.
• Ensure the timely and accurate completion of medical records , adhering to all relevant regulations.
• Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new nursing staff.
• Manage daily staffing processes and infection control measures to ensure the highest standards of care.
• Adapt to unpredictable scheduling needs, providing leadership in times of change.

Qualifications:

• Current State RN license is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Long-Term Care settings is required.
• Preferred : 2 years of management experience.
• Preferred : 1 year of experience in staff education.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to foster a positive, efficient work environment.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory abilities .
• Flexibility in hours is essential to meet the needs of the facility.
