Job Description What You'll Do: Provide friendly and attentive customer service as you assist the department manager to oversee the day to day operations of the department and supervise the department team. You'll handle processing all service desk customer transactions (i.e. check cashing, utility payments, money orders, refunds, Western Union, lottery sales); balancing store cash funds and media, preparing deposits and maintaining appropriate cash on hand levels; answering incoming telephone calls and directing to correct person/department; and selection, training, development and scheduling of Office/Service Desk associates. Pay Range: $17.50- $18.00/hr *Rates of pay are determined by previous experienceJob Requirements Ideally, you'll have previous related service desk experience. You'll need to be friendly and courteous in order to provide excellent customer service, as well as the ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions. Excellent communication skills, basic computer skills and the ability to learn how to operate a cash register, scanner, telephone system, money order machine, lottery machine, Western Union system, and bottle machines, as well as the ability to handle money and other forms of payment are also important. Assistant Department Managers will need to be available nights, weekends, and holidays, and service desk associates must be at least 18 years of age
