Job Description :
The Assistant Operations Manager, reporting to the Operations Manager, is responsible formanaging the day-to-day operational execution of assigned client, area and/or shift. Includingeffective labor schedule, flow, efficiencies, supervision, and proper utilization of space,equipment and resources.Principal duties and responsibilities:- Consistently apply the company's core values of Always Better, Utmost Integrity, Dedication to theCustomer, I am an Owner, and Open and Honest relationships in all interactions and decisionmaking- Be responsible in knowing and acting in accordance with the company's vision to WOW theircustomers, partners, and fellow employees with every interaction- Be accountable for the safe, efficient, and economical operation of the warehouse forassigned client, area, and/or shift in the areas of staffing, warehouse operations,maintenance of the facility and equipment, implementation of safety, security,housekeeping and sanitation programs, budgeting, and inventory control- Manage all distribution services of assigned client, area, and/or shift which may includereceiving, storing, shipping, handling return/damaged goods, maintenance, andadministrative activities to ensure customer requirements and/or KPIs, if applicable, aremet in an efficient manner- Ensure the operation exceeds customer expectations for service and responsiveness- Develop, prioritize, and direct programs to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of the warehouse for assigned client, area, and/or shift- Identify root cause of Nonconformance Reports and implement Corrective Actions- Report as needed for assigned client, area, and/or shift- Participate in the preparation of budgets, revenue projections, and account analysis of assigned client, area, and/or shift- Utilize measurement systems to evaluate productivity, quality, and variance from standards- Continually optimizes facility storage to minimize the inefficient utilization of space- Responsible for maintaining physical inventory accuracy at a defined company rate- Ensure all required documentation and system transactions (electronically and/or manually) for assigned area(s)/account(s) are completed in a timely manner- Establish and maintain credible, professional relationships with clients, internal business lines, and external vendors- Partner with the customer to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by communicating frequently with customers and following up on customer concerns and requests- Interface with internal partners, including but not limited to Strategic Account Management, Business Process Optimization, Customer Service, Finance, and Human Resources, to identify business opportunities and resolve issues- In conjunction with the Operation manager, attract, develop, and retain high performing, diverse talent within the business; build future leaders through mentoring and serving as a role model- Be responsible for ensuring supervisors, leads, and associates are properly trained on all standard operating procedures, method observations are conducted, and documented per company standards- Develop and communicate clear goals and expectations for assigned staff; provide ongoing training and development opportunities- Actively leads meetings and effectively communicates daily goals, building and company-wide information; sets the energy level and tone of the dayShift is Monday - Friday, 430PM - 2am.Base salary, yearend bonus, 5K lump sum for relocation.
