MUST UPLOAD TX DRIVERS LICENSEREQUIRED:
- Six (6) months of related experience.
- A valid Texas Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.
PREFERRED:
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assists in smoothing surfaces and removes old paint from surfaces to prepare surfaces for painting. Assists in filing nail holes, cracks, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other filler. Assists in removing fixtures such as pictures and electric switch covers from walls prior to painting. Assists in spreading drop cloths over floors and room furnishing, and covers surfaces such as baseboards, doorframes, and windows with masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting. Assists in painting surfaces with brushes, spray gun, or paint rollers. Assists in applying paint with cloth, brush, sponge, or fingers to create special effects. Assists with erecting scaffolding or setting up ladders to perform tasks above ground level. Assists in washing surfaces prior to painting with mildew remover. Drives District vehicles to and from work site; obeys all traffic laws. Strives continually to promote the safety, health and comfort of students and employees in the performance of duties. Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties. Maintains confidentiality. Maintains a high level of ethical behavior as is expected of all District employees. Maintains professional growth by attending in-service and meetings as requested/required. Performs any other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Director.
