Assistant Professor (Accounting)
**FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT**
The Department of Economics and Accounting at Hunter College, City University of New York ( is seeking to hire a tenure-track faculty member in Accounting with research, teaching and service responsibilities. Field of research is open.
Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution. Candidates must have a doctoral degree by the start of the appointment.
Preferred Qualifications: A well-developed research plan. For candidates beyond the PhD, a well-established publication record.
**COMPENSATION**
CUNY offers a competitive compensation and benefits package to its faculty, covering health insurance, pension and retirement benefits, paid parental leave, and savings programs. Salary range is $90,375 - $99,532. Qualified applicants will be eligible a salary above base up to $150,000.
