Job DescriptionThe Ithaca College Roy H. Park School of Communications invites applications for a tenure-eligible Assistant Professor appointment in TV Studio Production beginning Fall 2025 in Ithaca, NY. This position joins the Department of Media Arts, Sciences, and Studies Department (MASS) with 40+ full-time faculty dedicated to teaching excellence who offer 4 degree programs for nearly 1000 majors, along with 5 minors. The Park School is housed in a state-of-the-art facility with a $5M inventory of film and digital media portable equipment, and multiple production spaces, including two multi-camera high-definition television studios equipped with SONY 3100 cameras, Grass Valley Karrera switchers, Vizrt Graphics and Evertz playback servers. The Park School also has a high-definition mobile production truck. Primary responsibilities include teaching assigned classes in television production, including any combination of courses in disciplines such as Multi-camera TV Studio Production, Live Television Directing and Production, Live and Remote Event Production, and Broadcast Sports Production.The successful candidate will teach a full course load per academic year, act as an academic advisor for students, and serve on Department, School, and College committees. Since this is a tenure eligible position, there is an also an expectation of an appropriate level of research and/or creative work as prescribed with the Ithaca College Faculty Handbook.
