Job Summary

We seek an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in managing commercial HVAC and plumbing projects, particularly in large-scale settings such as hospitals, data centers, high-rises, and other complex structures. This role demands a local candidate with a stable work history and a strong understanding of the commercial mechanical construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Project Manager in coordinating all commercial HVAC and plumbing projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope and budget.
• Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to ensure materials and services are delivered according to project specifications and timelines.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, track project progress, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure all project activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality expectations.
• Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing their concerns, providing project updates, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Must be based in Phoenix, AZ, with a proven stable work history in the region.
• 2+ years of experience in commercial HVAC and plumbing projects, with exposure to large-scale projects such as hospitals, data centers, high-rises, and hotels.
• A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent field experience may be considered.
• Familiarity with project management software such as MS Project, Bluebeam, and Autodesk tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks).
• Strong understanding of industry standards, safety regulations, and commercial mechanical construction sector quality control processes.
