Position PurposeA versatile position within a dynamic nonprofit that provides community-inspired, volunteer-powered disaster relief. The position full-time is responsible for developing and overseeing the response/ recovery projects to help impacted communities. Essential Functions
- Support the Project Manager to develop the project work queue and scope-of-work, milestones, updating timelines and budgets accurately, updating the necessary tracking systems e.g. Salesforce, Material Costs and supporting volunteer
- management.
- Support PM in maintaining accurate tracking systems of worksite progress/completion, technical reports and materials/tools in Salesforce and other databases. Support in the explanation of it to the rest of the construction team.
- Support the Project Manager in the quality control review, including visiting work sites on a regular basis.
- Support the Project Manager to establish and develop clear work and safety practices for the project and communicate these with site teams (Construction Site Coordinator, Site Supervisor, Site Supervisor Trainees, and Team Leaders).
- Supports the Project Manager in the development, implementation, and review of the Health, Safety and Security procedures for sites, including Risk Assessments.
- Cover the Project Manager when he/she is on break as well as cover any construction crew personnel if necessary.
- Support the Project Manager and the construction team in the organization of monthly breaks to have a clear structure and organization of the coverage for the proper functioning of the program.
- Continuously develop and evaluate the project scope, quality and impact, through a meaningful
monitoring and evaluation framework.
- Support the Project Manager to provide supportive leadership, manage a diverse staff team, volunteers and local contractors, and empower them to carry out their work effectively and efficiently.
- Support Logistics Coordinator to implement efficient procurement processes for the project sites. Support the Project Manager and Logistics Coordinator to design and oversee the process of hiring and vetting subcontractors and construction suppliers.
- Collaborate with Volunteer Coordinator and Project Manager to ensure there are sufficient volunteer numbers to meet the needs of the workflow and work queue.
- Support the Project Manager in compiling program specific fortnightly reports for the organization.
- Support the Project Manager to oversee the training of the Site Supervisors and Site Supervisor Trainees.
- We have decided to relax the requirement for Covid-19 vaccination for on program staff. While we still strongly recommend Covid-19 vaccination, along with other standard and travel immunizations as recommended by the CDC and WHO, Covid-19 vacation will no longer be required
- Perform other duties as required.
Position Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or experience in a relevant field.
- Related Experience: 1+ years experience overseeing residential remodeling/construction, 1+ years managing people. Technical experience in construction is required. All Hands and Hearts experience is preferable, but not required.
- Special Competencies/Certifications: Good written and oral communication skills (in English) and confident working with Google Workspace, particularly Google Docs and Google Sheets and Microsoft Office. Applicants need to be well organized and have a flexible approach to managing multiple tasks and prioritizing them appropriately. The individual is able to manage a large workload and perform in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with international humanitarian standards including Sphere and HAP. Must have a valid driver's license.

Compensation & Benefits
- Typical starting salary is $16.00-$16.50 USD/hour, and up to $17.00 for highly qualified candidates who have previous experience in this role.
