Position Summary:
MEI Assistant Project Manager supports the project team and has responsibility for completing assigned construction activities successfully. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work closely with the project managers, superintendent, and general foreman reporting directly to the project manager. All while demonstrating characteristics consistent with MEI company values, culture, process, and procedure.
MEI Assistant Project Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain submittal logs
- Responsible for project contract submittals that are accurate and timely
- Populate and maintain fixture and equipment tracking logs
- Maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers
- Schedule and complete project start-ups and all the paperwork that they entail
- Obtain and file monthly project schedules according to MEI file structure requirements
- Ensure the weekly development of 3- week look ahead schedules by project foreman
- Establish and maintain job files while obtaining and channeling information
- Estimating change orders and processing T&M invoicing while maintaining project change order logs
- Support and manage project RFI's including assembly of documentation and proper document control of all RFI documents
- Create and issue purchase orders and subcontracts while maintaining billings as requested
- Cooperate with and technically assist field personnel assigned to area of responsibility
- Prepares price change orders and project reports and documentations
- Participates in MEI safety plans as applicable to assigned projects
MEI Assistant Project Manager Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, effective communicator
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Project, SharePoint
- Competence in industry software such as Bluebeam and Accubid
- Ability to present self in a professional manner and represent the company image
MEI Assistant Project Manager Qualifications
- College degree or electrical construction experience
- 1-2 Years in construction related roles.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and their components
- Can be a combination of training, education and relevant work experience that is equivalent.
