This community has 240 units and is located in O'Fallon, IL. As the Assistant Property Manager, you are responsible for providing assistance to the Property Manager with regard to the management of the multi-family apartment community.Compensation and Benefits:$21-$23.50/hr + opportunity for incentive/bonus payHealth Insurance (Company Paid Option), Dental, and VisionCompany Paid Life InsuranceShort Term Disability401K with Company MatchHealth Savings Account (HSA) & Flexible Spending Account (FSA)Company Paid Long Term DisabilityRent DiscountPaid Time Off and Paid HolidaysEducational AssistanceVerizon & Sherwin Williams DiscountsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Schedule: Tuesday - SaturdayResponsibilities:Accept rental payments and post rent to YARDIProvide general clerical assistance to the leasing officeMaintain accurate monthly commission sheets for bonus paymentsAssume the Property Manager's duties in the absence of the Property ManagerTour the property and target apartments/modelsProcess applications for approval, inform Property Manager of qualified/unqualified applicants, and follow up with applicants regarding application statusType up leases and complete all necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely mannerConfirm that the apartment is ready for the resident to move in on the move-in dateOrient new residents to the communityAssist in monitoring renewals and distribute/follow up on renewal noticesAnswer questions for residents about the community, work orders, rent, rules, etc.Ensure all work orders are handled satisfactorilyAssist with enforcing policies and rules of the communityMinimum Qualifications:Minimum of three years of onsite experience as an Assistant ManagerHigh school diploma or equivalent; some college-level education preferred1+ years in a sales-oriented role and/or 6+ months of on-site leasing experience or a combination of customer service and sales experience and education preferredKnowledge of Fair Housing regulationsComputer proficiency, including MS Office: Word, Excel, and OutlookYARDI/CRM experience requiredPhysical Demands:The job is periodically sedentary, but requires mobility (i.e., climbing stairs or squatting) to tour and inspect apartments/communities. Involves sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time and stooping for brief periods.
