Assistant Ranch Foreperson - Foster Farms : Job Details

Foster Farms is always looking for talented individuals to join the Foster Farms TEAM. We offer the experience of a large organization, but operate like a family business. More than half of our job openings are filled by internal promotion, and we encourage TEAM Members to gain a variety of experiences across different functional groups.

• Bird management: air quality/ventilation, litter quality, feed monitoring, egg production, broody control, egg sanitation, and artificial insemination. All actions conferred through the Ranch Foreperson or Field Supervisor. Emergency action may be independent.

• People management: schedules, task supervision, disciplinary action. All actions conferred through the Ranch Foreperson and Field Supervisor.

• Ranch management: building and equipment maintenance. All actions conferred through the Ranch Foreperson and Field Supervisor.

• Maintain high level of safety awareness.

• Monitor ranch conditions and animal husbandry practices to assure optimum bird health.

• Performs ranch laborer duties when not replacing Ranch Foreperson.

• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent

  Prior poultry experience preferred

  Must be able to work in an Ag environment

  Must have good interpersonal skills

  Must have a math aptitude

  Bilingual is helpful (Spanish/English)

  Must have good communication skills

  Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be able to push, pull, bend, stoop and crouch

  Must be able to live on the ranch

  Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check
