This includes degree counseling for both graduate and undergraduate students, assisting faculty and advisors with graduation/audit questions, processing initial, mid, and final graduation checks, assisting with the planning and execution of commencement events. Ensures transfer work is fully evaluated on new students' records and for prospective students. Articulates general education course work and works with faculty/schools to articulate major/minor courses. Responds to inquiries from students, advisors, faculty about the application of transfer credit. Manages UCM's participation in the Missouri Reverse Transfer program and assists with evaluations for Degrees When Due. Proactively manages articulation tables, transfer and articulation agreements, and MOUs to ensure continuously updated and current information. Updates transfer guides in the Undergraduate Catalog. Other duties as assigned within the Registrar's Office. Examples of DutiesEvaluate undergraduate domestic transfer credit for possible articulation: -25%
- Review admitted student transfer course records for possible transfer and articulation issues
- Using the Transfer Evaluation System (TES), access course description information and coordinate transfer credit evaluation with faculty
- Record and archive equivalency decisions
- Update websites about transfer articulation
- Make equivalency decisions on general education transfer courses
- Enter new articulation rules into Banner articulation tables
- Add, edit, and terminate articulation rules based on transfer institution and institutional course updates
- Communicate with students and transfer institution representatives regarding course evaluation requirements
- Respond to articulation requests from students, advisors, and faculty.
- Review articulation data integrity reports and make appropriate updates in Banner.
- Maintain list of approved faculty for substitutions and articulations
- Coordinate with Schools for regular review of existing transfer articulations
Create and maintain articulation agreements and transfer MOUs to include: -20%
- Work collaboratively with faculty and staff to create and maintain articulation agreements and MOUs
- Edit final documents for publishing to the transfer/articulation website
- Collaborate with community college partners
- Research community college course, curriculum, and policy updates; incorporate updates as appropriate to current and future articulation agreements and MOUs.
- Review new MOUs (domestic and international for compliance with curriculum and academic policies.
Manage the graduation application and approval process: -35%
- Conduct initial, mid, and final semester graduation application reviews.
- Work with faculty and advisors on student graduation deficiency issues
- Work with OT for the posting of graduation fees and place fees manually as needed
- Communicate to students, staff, and faculty about the graduation application process, deadlines, and the commence ceremonies
- Assist with the planning and execution of commencement ceremonies (two weekends per year)
- Respond to student, advisor, and faculty inquiries about graduation requirements and commencement.
- Update the graduation and commencement websites.
- Update diploma names and address, award degrees and honors
- Prepare graduations lists for the printing of diplomas
- Manage diploma distribution
Provide support to Registrar/Office as needed: -10%
- Attends meetings and conferences (both on and off campus) as needed
- Serve as a member of committees, as determined by the Registrar
- Assist with responding to customer service inquiries via phone, email, etc from students, staff, and faculty
- Undertake special projects as assigned
- Performs other duties as assigned
Direct and supervise Transfer Coordinator position. Perform annual performance appraisal, plan work, assign duties, and discipline as needed. -10% Typical Qualifications Education:
- Bachelor's degree
- Master degree preferred.
Experience:
- Two years progressively responsible experience in a functional area of enrollment management or advising with preference given to individuals with previous professional work experience in a Registrar's Office.
