Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Registrar on the Dahlonega campus. This position supervises the transfer evaluation team. Along with coordinating the process of transfer articulation and other transferable credit at UNG, this position evaluates credit in the Banner Student Information System in accordance with University System of Georgia (USG) and UNG policies and procedures. This position manages the communication plan and oversees timely responses and provides accurate information to constituents.
This position is not remote and will require being in office. Some evening and/or weekend hours and travel are required.
Responsibilities
* Supervise Transfer Evaluation Team.
* Coordinate transfer articulation process, evaluates transfer credit for all students in the Banner Student Information System with eligible transcripts.
* Research, clean up, and build transfer institution and course information for transfer eligibility.
* Manage transfer evaluation communication to constituents.
* Downloads, evaluates, and articulates military credit, Prior Learning Assessment credit, and credit by exam (CLEP, AP, DSST, IB, etc.) in the Banner Student Information System.
* Monitors and maintains eligible transfer course table for required reporting to the USG.
* Assists with other duties as assigned, including but not limited to, providing support within the Registrar's Office other functional areas, and special projects as needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* The ability to work under minimal supervision to handle multiple tasks, to maintain accuracy amid interruptions, and prioritize duties.
* The ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships through effective oral and written communication with team members, staff, students, faculty, and other individuals.
* Must be able to solve problems and must possess strong organizational skills.
* Must be proficient in the use of Web navigation and knowledgeable about basic Windows software.
* Must be knowledgeable about FERPA guidelines and UNG and University System of Georgia policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree required.
* Two years of transfer credit, data entry, and/or customer service experience in a higher education setting.
Preferred Qualifications
* Ellucian Banner experience preferred.
* One year direct supervisory experience preferred.
Proposed Salary
Standard Hiring Range: $24.50 - $26.95
