The Team: The American Girl Retail team is integral in providing lifetime memories to American Girl fans and their families. Our experiential retail stores provide shopping destinations like no other. This requires Innovation, Collaboration, and Execution from all who are a part of this division. Our in-store experiences range depending on location from Girl and Doll Salons, Full-Service Restaurants, Personal Shopping, Ear Piercing (Girl and Doll), hosting Parties/Celebrations to name a few. Expect a dynamic and fast-paced role where you get to make decisions that impact the team as well as our customers.

Job Description

The Opportunity: The Assistant Store Manager is located at the AG Retail Los Angeles location and reports directly to the Store Manager. This position is responsible for assisting the store manager with daily operations, including providing leadership and direction to the departments and providing a high level of selling and customer service to American Girl guests.

What Your Impact Will Be:

  • Oversee and manage operational function of the American Girl Store.
  • Maintain and build business partnerships with corporate office as well as other American Girl locations.
  • Responsibilities include operation and maintenance of physical plant, financials, customer service, employee relations, and training.
  • Work with all levels of management to meet diverse staffing needs, access and deliver training based on needs, administer policies and procedures that are consistent with a corporate culture committed to providing superior customer service.
  • Manage employee development, training, activities, and events.
  • Provide store supervisory support as part of the store leadership team.
Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

  • Five or more years of retail management experience is required.
  • Strong written, verbal and management experience is required.
  • Work schedule requires evening and weekend work.

Salaried: To be used for positions up to Director level: The annual base salary range for this position is between $68,800 and $88,000. This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate's work location, skills and experience.
