Grounds Control of Huntsville is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Superintendent with expertise in site work and grading to join our construction team. As an Assistant Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating site work operations, ensuring the successful completion of projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with the Superintendent to plan, organize, and supervise all site work and grading activities.

* Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of construction projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination with subcontractors and suppliers.

* Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure work meets project requirements and industry standards.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred but not required).

* Proven experience as an Assistant Superintendent or similar role in site work and grading projects.

* Strong knowledge of site work, dirt, and grading techniques, as well as relevant equipment and materials.

* Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and industry codes and standards.

* Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on finding practical solutions to construction challenges.

* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

* Proficiency in using construction management software and tools for scheduling, documentation, and reporting (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid).

* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
