Position Summary
The Project Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing and managing complex commercial construction projects valued up to $200 million. This critical role requires exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct field leadership and management of large-scale commercial construction projects
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones
- Coordinate and supervise daily construction activities, including workforce management, equipment allocation, and material procurement
- Implement and enforce stringent safety protocols and OSHA regulations on all job sites
- Manage subcontractor relationships, ensuring quality work, timely completion, and compliance with project specifications
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality, progress, and safety standards
- Prepare and maintain detailed daily reports, progress documentation, and project logs
- Resolve on-site conflicts and challenges promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and client representatives
- Manage project budgets and identify potential cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure all work meets or exceeds client expectations and industry standards
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of commercial construction experience
- Proven track record of managing projects valued over $20 million
- Comprehensive understanding of construction methods, materials, and technologies
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project)
- OSHA certifications
- Valid driver's license
