DescriptionAssistant Teacher Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssistant Teachers oversee students in settings like lunch, playground play, and the classroom, and help reinforce instructional material. Their exact duties can vary widely depending on the particular circumstances of the classroom they're in, but some common duties and responsibilities include:Prepare classroom equipment and instructional materials for lessons.Perform record-keeping duties associated with the classroom including attendance and grade calculation.Instruct students in proper classroom procedures and behavior.Collaborate with teachers and parents on a regular basis regarding student progress.

• Attending monthly staff meetings
• Responsible for executing the educational program in accordance with the philosophy of Precious Possessions
• Maintaining Certification in CPR and Emergency First Aid
• Attending annual child care courses
• Responsible for working extra hours if needed
• Assisting Teachers in the creation of lesson plans or in solving problems the Teacher is struggling to find a solution for
• Tracking the academic performance of students for signs of progress
• Must be familiar with all functions of brightwheel
