Job Description :
Assists the Assistant Dean for Admissions and the Director of Admissions with little direction to ensure the coordination of all College of Medicine processes. Maintains the American Medical College Application Services (AMCAS) website database by updating each applicants status (over 1,000 per year) and submitting reports. Evaluates and helps select qualified candidates for interview. Plans and coordinates sixteen separate applicant interview days while working closely with the Admissions Committee to schedule interviews and organize each committee meeting. Interacts with administrators, faculty and staff and ensures confidentiality in all Admissions Committee communications. Maintains contact with applicants regarding their acceptance status. Creates new student files for all accepted students in Banner and runs necessary Banner reports. Provides weekly reports to the Dean of the College of Medicine (COM) and Assistant Dean for Admissions using Microsoft Excel and Word formats.
