**POSITION DETAILS:**
As a key member of the executive management team, the Assistant Vice President oversees oneor more College functions to fulfill comprehensive program goals and contributes to overallCollege strategic objectives. He/she plans and implements a range of successful programs; and oversees staff, budget, facilities, public safety and other major functions.
This position reports to the Vice President for Finance and Administration and oversees the management of major administrative functions, strategic planning, and analytical reports to the entire College.
The Assistant Vice President for Finance has the following responsibilities:
+ With independent judgement and latitude for decision-making, establish the College Policies regarding the development of the financial databases necessary to prepare the College Budgets and Financial Plans for Tax Levy, IFR and Non-tax levy entities.
+ Establish the College Policies regarding the deposit and accounting of all funds. Oversee all accounting operations in accordance with GAAP, NYS regulations and CUNY guidelines including overseeing the preparation of financial statements for the college
+ Coordinate the preparation and development of the College's Financial Plan to allocate Tax Levy and Non-Tax Levy resources. Align planning and budget activities and processes to effectively maintain and develop personnel, physical, and financial resources for the College.
+ Oversee Accounts Payable and Revenue Management Operations including oversight of all bill payment and vendor relation operations.
+ Oversee Procurement, Asset Management, and Records Retention Operations
+ Act as campus liaison to the University Budget Office.
+ Initiate, institute and oversee policies and procedures that will improve service delivery to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
+ Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports in accordance with University and State policies.
+ Ensure compliance with University's Cash Management, Financial, and Record Retention Policies.
+ Support the John Jay Foundation financial operations.
+ Ensure Compliance with New York City, NY State and federal financial reporting and taxation requirements
+ Act as the Contract Administrator and Compliance Officer on all non-related entity contracts including Cafeteria,
+ Act as the Internal Control Coordinator for CUNY's Internal Control Review Reports. Coordinate the college's annual submission, conduct follow-up internal audits to ensure continued compliance and correction of any weaknesses identified.
+ Audit Manager: act as College Liaison with all external auditors for both financial and management audits including the annual management audit. Follow up on management recommendations emanating from audits. Conduct independent internal audits as needed specifically on Return to Title IV issues and any other University priorities. Develop institutional protocol for audits and monitor compliance with those protocols.
+ Oversee Research Foundation Grant and Overhead reporting and Overhead allocations and expenditures (Additional

**QUALIFICATIONS**
This position is in CUNY's Executive Compensation Plan. All executive positions require a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience.

**COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS**
$180,000 - $185,000
Salary commensurate with education and experience.
