Join Purdue University Fort Wayne: We are currently seeking a full-time and onsite Assistant Women's Soccer Coach for the Athletic department. This position assists in the development of a competitive NCAA Division 1 Women's Soccer Program. The salary range for this position is $36,000.00 - $37,885.20.
Primary Responsibilities: - Follow and enforce all NCAA bylaws, league regulations, and university academic and other policies and procedures
- Assist with athlete recruitment.
- Assist with the running of practices and practice content.
- Assist with the oversight and monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes.
- Serve as an instructor for one HPER course per year.
- Assist with scheduling contests, travel arrangements and ordering equipment and supplies.
- Provide periodic administrative assistance.
- Create and foster an environment that promotes the overall health and welfare of student-athletes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 0-1 years' experience.
- Working knowledge of NCAA DI rules, fundamentals, techniques, and rules of sport.
- Must have a valid driver's license and remain in compliance with the Purdue University Motor Vehicle Records Check policy.
- Ability to effectively communicate with student-athletes, parents, coaches, media, faculty, staff, students and general public.
- Ability to assist with and recruit under highly selective academic and athletic standards.
- Ability to assist in the assessment of athletic skills and instruct athletes in techniques of sport.
- Ability to assist in the develop game strategies.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends at Athletic events.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree.
- Successful playing or coaching at the collegiate level.
- Experience at the Division I level.
- Knowledgeable of NCAA Division I rules and regulations.
- Experience in recruitment.
