Job DescriptionThe manager, project management coordinates, manages and exercises functional authority over all construction related activities for contracted resources within Electric Transmission. The manager is responsible for safe, cost effective, and timely execution of projects throughout the company and administering contracts after execution, managing the use of internal resources as well as contractors and consultants, ensuring regulatory compliance and financial performance. This position maintains relationships with key stakeholders in the industry and supports projects.ResponsibilitiesManager the activities of staff to ensure conformity with regulations, policies and procedures, manage continuous improvement in the performance of all areas of responsibility, manage staffing and personnel related responsibilities. Manage all aspects of contracted resources throughout service territory for electric distribution and transmission construction, operation, maintenance, restoration and customer service activities across the service territory. Manages internal and external resources in the completion of land acquisition, environmental studies, securing local, state and federal permits as required, performance of due diligence activities and issuing recommendation memorandums to executive management and the planning, scheduling and completion of internal and contracted work tasks needed to meet project submittal deadlines. Ensure electric delivery project comply with all local, state and federal requirements. Develops internal and external electric delivery presentations, represent the company at local landowner meetings, community events and media interviews. Coordinates the company's response to landowner and local government agencies, concerns, issues and internal and external data requests that arise during development and construction activities. Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering, finance, accounting or related field or equivalent work experience. (Typically six years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.) Five or more years of industry experience for the Associate Project Manager, Electric Transmission position. Eight or more years of industry experience; including four years supervisory/management responsibilities for the Project Manager, Electric Transmission position. Develop and execute long-term functional staffing plans to optimize the performance of the function and the delivery services unit. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external contacts. Communicate and negotiate with peer management to successfully manage cross-functional duties and personnel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation and interview skills. Effective interpersonal skills and leadership abilities. Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Project management, risk management, planning and budgeting skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple issues, tasks and projects concurrently.
