Role Summary
Responsible for generating sales revenues from the sale of the company's products and services. Generates opportunities by developing new accounts and/or managing existing accounts. Calls on customers and prospective customers, and provides technical and product information. Interfaces with customers to develop quotations and provides administrative support in placing orders. Acts as the company liaison to the customer and manages the customer relationship. Takes on additional sales projects as assigned. Understanding of the customer's business and product requirements is necessary. Sets expectations of the products and services sold. Serves as the internal advocate representing the customer and their immediate needs. Is responsible for defining future needs and requirements, and to facilitate resources to support the business activities. Expected to develop business forecasts, and to meet assigned revenue/budgetary goals. Business/professional dress is required and regular travel is required to support the job function.

Associate Account Manager
KNOWLEDGE: Moderate to high level of proficiency within the job description. Position assumes some experience in sales, a higher level of problem-solving skills, and should possess adequate computer literacy skills. Excellent product knowledge and technical expertise is expected. Represents the company as the primary interface with assigned customer base. Account assignment may include customers that require a higher level of expertise to be successful. Takes the lead in developing and implementation of sales strategies.
JOB COMPLEXITY: Works on issues of a diverse scope and is required to analyze needs or data to understand internal and external requirements. Acts as a facilitator to resolve issues, concerns, or problems. Good product knowledge is critical and basic knowledge of the manufacturing process, inspection steps, and quality systems are required. Scope of problem solving can be interpersonal or technical in nature. Has to complete activity reports, revenue forecasts, and other tasks as assigned by management. The candidate should be proficient in Excel, particularly with functions including but not limited to pivot tables, formulas, database creation and maintenance, etc. Familiarity with the SharePoint platform is preferred. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results will affect sales revenues, profit margins, impact resources, and jeopardize overall business activities. Regularly interacts with most levels of the organization including engineering, operations, production control, quality, purchasing, management, and support staff. Requires interface with all levels of the customer's organization, which includes design groups, purchasing, production control, incoming quality, engineering, and management. Acts as a facilitator in understanding the customer's requirements and developing products and services to support those requirements. Excellent communication and organization skills are critical.
SUPERVISION: Work is performed under general supervision. Routine tasks are performed independently and judgment is allowed in selecting appropriate resources to accomplish assigned tasks. Unusual tasks or significant procedural deviations, requires supervisory approval. May be required to assume a leadership role on behalf of the Sales Manager/Director as assigned. This position is an on-site role, and will be based out of the Allen, TX facility.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 10 years of experience in sales or account management required.
