Overview:
We are seeking a Associate Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to our team located in Washington, DC, the New Jersey Avenue office. Position is onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all visitors sign in and are issued a badge.
- Answer all phone calls- screen and direct calls accordingly.
- Purchase and maintain inventory of office supplies and snacks for multiple office locations. This will require the use and understanding of online ordering through our databases and sources.
- Provide administrative support to senior staff, and other staff as directed, in a fast-moving, ever-changing environment in preparation of critical deliveries for Navy customers. This will require the use and knowledge of applications such as, but not limited to MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Maintain multiple Conference room calendars as well as provide resources needed for meeting to take place.
- Create interview packets and materials as needed.
- Manage the distribution of Parking and Transit benefits for all employees.
- Manage all Telcon Accounts - work with PMs to assign and distribute Telcon lines accordingly.
- Work closely with Building Manager, Engineer, and Security to maintain a safe and efficient workable space.
- Attend meetings accordingly.
- Maintain a welcoming, comfortable, organized environment for employees and visitors.
- Support the recruitment process as needed.
- Candidate may be asked to: post jobs, search for qualified candidates, conduct phone screens, arrange interviews, and handle reference checks.
Qualifications:
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Able to work independently.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance.
- Positive attitude with excellent customer service skills.
- Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Previously provided administrative support in a government contractor setting.
Pay Range: VTGs estimated starting pay range is $17.00-20.00/hour which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
