Overview:
The Associate Assembler performs various repetitive assembly and fabrication operations. As product is manufactured, the Associate Assembler takes completed parts and assembles materials according to the safety, quality, and process requirements. The Associate Assembler follows directions and completes a list of tasks on daily basis; uses bills of materials, mechanical drawings, customer order specifications, verbal instructions, and sample parts to accurately assemble equipment and subcomponents. Associate Assembler must demonstrate high level of responsibility and accountability while working efficiently to meet production requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Read, understand, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written work instructions to ensure accurate assembly of equipment and products.
* Assemble and install equipment and sub-assemblies per engineering specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
* Assemble electrical panels in accordance with schematic drawings.
* Safely utilize hand and power tools and compressed air drivers to assemble parts.
* Use and understand metric/standard tape measures and scales.
* Fabricate a variety of parts, either composite or plastic, as required for proper fit.
* Drive a forklift, operate cranes and pallet jacks, among other industrial equipment as needed.
* Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures; wear safety equipment and apparel, as required.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area; exercise good care in handling tools, supplies and materials.
* Participate in the production work station rotation to meet scheduling requirements.
* Obtain a basic understanding of quality and productivity standards.
* Attend all company meetings and safety training courses as assigned.
* Assist with warehouse responsibilities as needed.
