Associate Attorney - Fute : Job Details

Our client, a well-established law firm located in Lower Manhattan, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney with 3+ years of litigation experience to join their dynamic team. Specializing in maritime and admiralty law, construction, general liability, and insurance coverage, the firm offers a great opportunity for growth and hands-on legal experience.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will handle all aspects of pre-trial litigation, with a focus on defending complex construction and general liability cases in New York State and federal courts. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Managing pleadings and discovery
• Taking and defending depositions
• Drafting and arguing motions and appeals
• Engaging with clients, opposing counsel, and experts
• Conducting risk analysis and strategizing case resolutions

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice in New York State (additional state admissions are a plus)
• Strong research, writing, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage a high caseload independently
• Trial experience is preferred but not required
• Exposure to maritime law is a plus but not necessary
