What you'll do:

The Associate Specialty Niche Loan Closing Representative supports the more senior closers who lead and facilitate the loan closing process for Franchise Finance Deal Team. In the support position, the associate closer is expected to learn the closing process and will be trained in the pre-closing research, due diligence, and review, closing coordination responsibilities with internal and third-party professionals and well as post close audit of loan documentations items and perfected collateral. Associate will assist with the progress and acceptability of all closing components and facilitate administrative tasks for the deal team to ensure timely closing of loan transactions.

  • Assist with the coordination of administration of (weekly) closing conferences and closing process with senior closers and Deal Team (Borrowers, respective counsel and WFF) to achieve certainty and timeliness of closing.

  • Process including but not limited to reviewing credit approval memorandum, creating closing checklist, and collection of deliverable items, assist in collection of receivables (e.g. liability insurance, flood insurance, asset listings, lease, and franchise agreement review) circulating all information and escalating exceptions to the deal team to ensure Borrower and deal team anticipated funding dates are met.

  • Assist in obtaining appropriate supporting documents including title work, flood and OFAC searches, insurance, organizational documents, real estate collateral documentation and various due diligence items to verify compliance with loan approval and bank closing procedures.

  • Work on day-to-day administrative tasks including treasury management tasks as assigned (opening of retail and commercial accounts), assisting TM product partner, wires, pull various retail reports, assist in coordination of internal and external participations.

  • Assist in preparation of the Settlement Statement and coordinate, as applicable, with the outside title company; collect all third-party invoices for closing; follow for internal/external payoff letter required; calculate loan fees; confirm deposit to be applied to fees or returned to Borrower.

  • Strong focus on deposit accounts opening, servicing, and maintenance as well as treasury management support account servicing and maintenance.

  • Assist in Final review of closing disbursement documents to make sure all figures are accurate and coordinate any syndicated loans with external and/or internal participants. Assist in coordination of the receipt of the participant's approvals and signed docs with Loan Ops for timely receipt of funds at closing.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years loan closing support experience preferred.

  • Bachelors' degree or equivalent experience.

  • Experience with Treasury Management and Deposits preferred.

  • Must have general banking/retail banking knowledge.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to complete assigned tasks on an independent and timely basis.

  • Strong desire to learn new skills and strong retention as it pertains to training and detail.

  • Advanced Computer Skills

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary range for this role is $50,000-$65,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
