The Associate, Corporate Operations (Loan Operations) carries out transactions and complete all operational requirements related to the Corporate & Institutional loan portfolio. Establishes direct contact with external and internal clients. This position will be working hybrid based in San Juan, PR.Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs all loan processing functions, including posting loan transactions according to current department guidelines.
- Ensures all loan transactions are made according to the executed loan documents and within the existing general rules and policies of the bank.
- Processes checks, wire transfers or debits account(s) to apply the payment of principal and interest of client loans.
- Verifies transactions and makes any necessary adjustments to ensure reconciliation with all bank accounts.
- Assists external and internal clients in loan related matters.
- Prepares accounting entries and daily balance report.
- Monitors and assists with Past Due Loans Reports and follows up with the responsible officers.
- Prepares Bank and/or Credit Reference Letters and Auditors Confirmation Letters.
- Executes disbursements, payments, wire transfers, inquiries, accounting entries and any other loan operational tasks assigned to the team and provides general administrative support related to other functions within the Corporate Operations scope
- Participate in special projects to enhance team performance as well as cross-training initiatives.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Arts or related field required.
- One (1) year of experience in Customer Service, Administrative support or related experience required. Banking experience required.
- Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.
- Excellent communication skills, customer service, multitasking, and the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse staff, colleagues, and clients.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish with a demonstrated ability to write communications clearly, concisely, and effectively required.
