About the Role

The Team : The position is in Data Capture team of North America Data Operations. You will be responsible for the process by which S&P Global – Mobility receives and processes all inbound data files. Activities include maintaining the file and supplier profile information for each

file received, resolving issues that arise during the capture process, and communicating the availability of all the data necessary for downstream processes. Responsibilities include performing analysis of business activities and functions and guiding the subsequent implementation of the improvement activities.

Responsibilities and Impact :

Without this role, the business could be missing out on key data necessary to ensure accurate stores of information as well as deliver outgoing products to our clients.

Responsibilities :

  • Understand the overall process and customer needs.

  • Understand file processing, data ingestion and their business rules.

  • Monitor and maintain data files processing along with its onboarding.

  • Support existing portfolio to mitigate anomalies.

  • Follow guidelines and proactively raise alerts on functional/application/data risk.

  • Understand deliverables and their impact.

  • Communicate with Internal/External clients timely to ensure data files are processed as expected.

  • Create New Audits and support existing to mitigate anomalies.

  • Follow guidelines and proactively raise alerts on functional/application/data risk.

  • Collaborates in the planning, design, development and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.

Compensation/Benefits Information:

Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

What We're Looking For :

  • Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of work experience within Data information field.

  • Basic understanding of electronic file transfer protocols such as FTP, SFTP, FTPS, HTTP, and HTTPS along with file decryption and decompression methods.

  • Microsoft Office skills (including Word, Excel).

  • Ability to perform root cause analysis.

  • Problem solving and listening skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Exceptional customer relationship skills.

  • Time management and prioritization skills and accountability.

  • Ability to collaborate and work well in a team.

  • Ability to be decisive and consider consequences of decisions.

  • Add On: Ability to write/run basic SQL statements.
