Associate Designer – Soft Home - Enchante Accessories : Job Details

Reports To: Director of Design and Product Development

Position Overview: We are seeking a creative and highly motivated Associate Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design and product development for home textiles with a focus on decorative pillows and table linens. This role involves working closely with our sales team and factory partners to develop new and innovative products that meet customer expectations. Please apply with portfolio for

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Presentation Development: Collaborate with the design team in creation
• of original textile surface designs. Assist with developing color palettes, fabric
• selections, and print/embellishment design that align with customer needs,
• seasonal trends, and brand aesthetics. Prepare and curate compelling product
• presentations for design concepts to communicate ideas effectively to team
• members and buyers.
• Sample Development & Review: Assist with sampling needs from design concept
• through production. Prepare production artwork and product specifications for
• sample development. Daily communication with factories on tech packs, sampling
• needs. Evaluate samples and submits to ensure they meet specifications and
• quality requirements.
• Design Material Management: Maintain and organize design files, swatches, and
• documentation for easy access and reference. Support design team with project
• management tasks, including updating PD trackers, follow up on project and
• sampling status.
• Cross-Functional Team Collaboration: Work with sales, design, factory partners
• on product development. Partner with internal teams to understand customer
• pricing and quality needs, prepare samples for sales style outs. Provide suggestions
• to overseas suppliers to enhance product design while minimizing cost.
• Communicate with licensors on product design and sample approvals.
• • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct regular online and brick and mortar
• competitive shopping research on current market trends and consumer
• preferences, presenting findings to the design team to inform seasonal collections.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Textile Design or equivalent work experience
• Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in home textile design & product
• development.
• • Skills:
• Creative and innovative thinker with a passion for home textiles.
• A keen eye for color, design composition, and typography, and ability to
• create saleable designs for US market
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Knoweldge of soft goods product and fabric constructions (print/woven) and
• embellishment techniques & manufacturing processes.
• Excellent organization, project, and time management skills with the ability
• to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
• with cross-functional teams and external partners.
