Compensation: Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is $122,250 - $179,300.
It is an exciting time to be a part of Lilly. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director of Contracting Technology to join our Legal Operations Technology team. This critical role involves matrixed reporting to the Enterprise Lifecycle Management (“ECLM”) attorney lead and will be responsible for the technical ownership, implementation, and long-term support of a new Contract Lifecycle Management (“CLM”) system. As a key member of the ECLM initiative, this individual will collaborate closely with the Legal PMO, Tech at Lilly, and other enterprise team members to ensure the successful rollout and seamless integration of the CLM tool across the organization.
Core Responsibilities:
In collaboration with Technology team at Lilly, lead the technical aspects of the CLM system implementation, including configuration, integration, and deployment, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and technical standards.Serve as Legal's main technical point of contact for all implementation activities, collaborating closely with the Legal PMO and contract process leads.Maintain technical ownership of the CLM tool, including updates, improvements, and ongoing system performance management.Coordinate the long-term support, scalability, and optimization of the tool to meet evolving business needs.Work closely with Tech at Lilly to design and implement integrations between the CLM tool and other enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.Partner with Legal PMO, procurement, compliance, and other collaborators to align technical functionality with process and policy requirements.Lead efforts to use automation and AI capabilities external to and within the CLM system to streamline contracting processes and enhance user experience.Contribute as the main point of contact for technical issues related to the CLM system, ensuring quick resolution and minimal disruption to operations.Provide ongoing technical support to end-users and deliver training on system functionality and updates as needed.Establish technical standards and governance protocols to maintain the integrity, security, and compliance of the CLM system.Collaborate with reporting and analytics counterparts to ensure accurate data integration and reporting capabilities.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise technology implementation, including familiarity with CLM technologies.Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Deep technical development and integration skills, including APIs, workflows, and data mapping.Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively in a matrixed environment.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a focus on delivering scalable and user-friendly solutions.Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CLM Specialist, Salesforce Administrator) are preferred.Deep and direct experience with CLM tools and related technologies, with experience in platforms like Icertis, ContractPodAI.Direct experience in legal operations or corporate legal environments.Familiarity with enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, or document management systems and their integration with CLM tools.Hands-on experience with automation and AI capabilities in CLM implementations.Additional Information:
If not located in Indianapolis, travel to Indianapolis will be expected as needed.
