Actalent Associate Director Formulations Location: Branford, ConnecticutJob Title: Associate Director, FormulationsThe Associate Director will play a pivotal role in our organization, overseeing formulation development projects, primarily in the pharmaceutical sector, and serving as a key point of contact for our clients. This position involves both technical and business feasibility assessments for proposed technologies, the development of new technologies utilizing both internal and external resources, and managing a talented team of scientists and engineers.Responsibilities:Lead customer formulation development projects (primarily pharmaceutical) and interface with clients as a key contact.Provide technical and business feasibility assessments for proposed technologies.Lead the development of new technologies using both internal and external resources.Manage a group of scientists and engineers, including experimental oversight and career development.Recommend new capabilities and instrumentation.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Ph.D. in chemical engineering, pharmaceutical science, chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.Experience in the pharmaceutical or aligned industry of at least 8 years.Evidence of leading formulation projects to completion.Experience assessing and developing new technologies in the pharmaceutical field.Supervisory experience leading a group of scientists/engineers.Evidence of excellent scientific writing and oral presentation skills.Ability to interface successfully across the organization and with external partners.Authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis for any employer without the need for sponsorship.About Actalent:Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
