We are seeking an exceptionally talented scientist to serve as Associate Director for Scientific Programs. This is a unique opportunity to tackle some of the most challenging problems in human health and disease: how to repair aging people, fast.
As an Associate Director with ICR, you'll get to:
- Integrate and synthesize the latest research findings from multiple fields and contribute novel ideas to accelerate projects toward ICR's ultimate goal: to repair aging humans quickly
- Help manage ICR research and development programs and scientists
- Find practical and efficient solutions to ensure development milestones are achieved
- Communicate research progress clearly and efficiently to ICR's Director and managing members
Please apply if you have:
- A PhD or another advanced degree in biomedical science AND at least 10 years experience
- Expertise in one or more of the following fields: aging biology, interventions to slow or reverse biological aging, biogerontology, regenerative medicine, age-related human diseases such as atherosclerosis, cancer, neurodegeneration or immune senescence
- Experience managing, inspiring and motivating people to best leverage their time and resources and maximize productivity and research output
Ideally, you'll also have:
- Solid foundation in multiple aspects of bench research, with the ability to offer novel insights into potential anti-aging and age-related disease prevention/intervention approaches
- Broad knowledge of human aging biology and the major diseases of aging
- Recognition that human aging is one of the greatest challenges facing humanity and motivation to find actionable solutions to aging's hardest problems
And you'll need:
- A demonstrated track record of practical and translational thinking
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship
