Overview

The role of Associate Director, Local Tactical Planning is to oversee the local media tactical plan development and execution for assigned clients. The AD will also effectively leverage experience, knowledge and skills to push fresh thinking to address client, agency, and team needs with the assistance of the senior staff on the business. This position will manage several junior staff day to day and reports directly to the Director, Local Tactical Planning.

Responsibilities

Role Objectives

* Oversee local media tactical plan development and budget

* Manage the process and procedure for client set up, billing and all administrative functions

* Evaluate, identify and size media target based on client brief

* Responsible for developing and executing local tactical planning

* Evaluate composition of a wide range of local media vehicles to determine which would most effectively reach the target audience

* Present recommendations to account service and clients

* Maintain strong relationship with key clients

* Follow detailed instructions and use established procedures, complete work in a detailed manner

* Supervise, train and develop skills of Associates, Sr Associates & Supervisors by managing workload, delegating responsibilities and checking work for accuracy

* Final oversight of accurate budget control and flow of media activity and ensure that clients are updated on any issues or changes in a timely and consistent manner

* Approve media authorizations per approved plans/project requests

* Provide job performance feedback to subordinates and make recommendations to management

* Providing staffing recommendations and daily supervision to all accounts

* Assist in more advanced functions as part of training and development

* Resource for others in resolution of complex problems/issues

* Minimal supervision, relies on advanced experience/judgment

* May perform other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time

* Effectively liaise with internal stakeholders (Investment, Finance), Clients, and external partners

* Advocate for multicultural & diversity inclusion throughout tactical plans

Qualifications

* 7+ years media planning experience including 3 years in a management capacity

* Offline and Online media experience

* Must have strong working knowledge of Local Media

* Excellent management and motivational skills

* Excellent organizational, interpersonal and quantitative/analytical skills

* Strong client presentation skills and business writing skills

* Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning

* Detail-oriented and proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

* Computer Skills/Software Knowledge: Microsoft Suite, Nielsen, Kantar Software, IMS, Flowchart Software, R/F and Optimization Software, Social Tracking tools, Google Analytics

* Exceptional written and verbal skills, with ability to present to clients, maintain client correspondence and internal documentation

* Demonstrate ability to learn new propriety software and processes quickly and proficiently

* Understanding of Investment team functions

* Understand the strengths and opportunities of each local media type

* Able to make independent decisions and identify priorities

* Meet client and internal deadlines and obligations

* Manage projects, resources, stakeholders, and participants

* Orient, train, assign and review the work of subordinates

* Be a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems/issues

* Understand industry trends and emerging media

Compensation Range: $95,950 - $137,865 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
