Job Responsibilities
- Point person for RIT's enrollment management technological systems (i.e., Slate, SIS/PeopleSoft OnBase)
- Perform data maintenance and monitor procedural operations pertaining to the admissions application review process, database systems and business practices; establish policies and procedures as such.
- Implement data-loading system processes and upgrades to support building and maintaining teacher/stakeholder databases, student application processing workloads, and targeted and personalized marketing and communication engagements with external audiences (i.e., prospective students, funding sources).
- Perform and troubleshoot appropriate user- and system-level testing to ensure student application functionality.
- Manage and update day-to-day enterprise-based campus system and document imaging processes.
- Determine access privileges and training of staff and external users of enrollment management platforms to perform operations in the system with accuracy.
- Partner with cross-functional teams: Undergraduate Admissions Office; Graduate Admissions and the Enrollment Management Systems Administration; and NTID Communications, Marketing and Multimedia Services in the identification, maintenance, and implementation of campus-wide upgrades to business applications, database management system and department standards that supports RIT/NTID Admissions.
- Provide on-site leadership in the supervision and evaluation of front-end personnel, enrollment management system applications operators and student workers
- Monitor day-to-day workloads, including data entry and processing, external communications with students (i.e., acceptance letter, scholarship letter), troubleshooting and project development.
- Develop and manage office policy and procedures and business processes.
- Responsible for hiring, completing performance assessments, coordinating meetings, and the like.
- Serve as a customer service representative and interact with RIT/NTID visitors
- Perform as a strategic leader in conjunction with the Enrollment Management Systems Administration and related teams in support of Slate optimization and growth opportunities regarding imminent trends and challenges in recruitment and engagement with external audiences. Such initiatives include operational efficiencies, generation of leads, maximization of Slate options and opportunities and breadth of reports and analyses-
- Maintain queries and report generation for critical data collection and analyses within the department and division needs (pre-college outreach, regional STEM centers and programs, dual-credit projects)
- Work with the Admissions Counselor team to ensure optimal efficiencies in the application review process and communication of admission outcomes. Coordinate logistics with the Travel Coordinator, including the support of student workers, to support robust database platform organization and efficiencies, data maintenance, validation and new lead tasks

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of experience working in educational or other professional settings with system-wide record management systems.
- Areas of specialization in Business, Information Systems, Marketing, Statistics and Management.
- American Sign Language proficiency expected or reasonable level of work involvement within deaf/hard of hearing communities utilizing a variety of communication strategies and modes; optimum commitment to acquiring ASL proficiency expected for the latter.
- Demonstrated proficiency creating and running reports to be imported (i.e., Excel) in formats for data presentation and analysis.
- Familiarity with deaf education, postsecondary education landscape, best admissions practices and future secondary and postsecondary education trends.
- Experience and skills, including business writing, effective receptive and expressive communication, supervising teams and working across departments/units.
- High level of attention to quantitative details and analytical scrutiny and accuracy working with student records.
- Ability to maintain high level of security and ethical standards when dealing with confidential information.
- Experience responding to requests for information, creation of queries in response to ad hoc requests and summarization and validation of data.
- Innate actions in keeping up with technological advancements and system upgrades.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working in higher education, preferably in Admissions, with system-wide record management systems.
- Experience with Slate, PeopleSoft/SIS, OnBase and/or other similar student records management software system and document imaging systems.

Job Summary The Associate Director of Admissions and Data Operations is responsible for providing strategic, technical operational and managerial leadership to the RIT/NTID Office of Admissions and its affiliated units within the division. This position serves as a key member of the admissions leadership team steering student enrollment strategies. This position also partners with cross-functional teams: Undergraduate Admissions Office; Graduate Admissions and the Enrollment Management Systems Administration; NTID Communications, Marketing and Multimedia Services; Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships and other pertinent units within the Division. Some evening and weekend work may be required at times.
