Renewal Unlimited, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated professional to serve as the Associate Director for Housing and Youth Services. This newly created position is responsible for assisting the Executive Director in the management, development, and oversight of housing services and the AmeriCorps Program for at-risk youth. Responsibilities:
- Supervises and trains AmeriCorps staff, Housing Case Managers, and the Coordinated Entry Specialist.
- Writes grant applications for the housing and AmeriCorps Program.
- Prepares, administers, and analyzes program budgets.
- Collaborates with community partners and school districts in the provision of services for youth and housing services.
- Directly operates the HOME Homebuyer Program for low to moderate income home buyers. Partners with lenders and real estate professionals to deliver homebuyer education opportunities. Partners with landlords and community agencies to provide Rent Smart Training.
- Coordinates a community assessment to gather input and address concerns regarding housing initiatives for homeless clients or those facing eviction.
- Must be innovative to re-design the youth services program and effectively recruit youth for participation in the program.
- Serves as a member of the management team, contributing to strategic planning and programming.
- Reviews or develops policy and procedures to ensure compliance with funding and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinates agency participation in two annual homeless counts, coordinates the local Continuum of Care meetings, and oversees data accuracy into a required database system
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Social Services, Community Development, Education, or a related field is required.
- Candidate must have effective communication and writing skills, supervisory skills, and strong time management and organizational skills.
- Experience in housing and youth services preferred.
