Summary:

Responsible for assisting in the overall management of the agency's Quality Assurance program.

Essential Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

  • Chairs the Safety Committee, Co-Chair of the Human Rights Committee and a member of other committees across the organization to provide a quality perspective.
  • Participates in the Quality Assurance Community of Practice.
  • Writes, reviews, and updates organizational policy as it relates to quality initiatives.
  • Conduct performance analysis of agency outcome measurement system for all program services.
  • Prepare an annual report analyzing QA activities and agency wide incidents, injuries, medication errors, etc.
  • Prepare an annual report analyzing accessibility throughout the organization and opportunities for updates.
  • Review a representative sample of mental health program billing records quarterly.
  • Review files from all programs quarterly.
  • Participate in monthly meetings for all programs and report on QA concerns/findings.
  • Complete monthly Health and Safety reviews of agency sites for CDS, CLS, and MH and report on findings; following up on corrective action plans to ensure programs are monitoring for health and safety related concerns
  • Conduct Rule 116 review two times per year, as needed to support the QA RNt.
  • Conduct an IPS audit two times per year
  • Assist in all audits-BQM/BALC/CARF/CQL, etc.
  • Provide leadership and direction for annual satisfaction surveys of all program members as well as external entities such as employers, DHS workers and ISC agencies. Additionally, complete a quarterly respite survey. Supports programs in understanding the results from the survey compared to data previously collected.
  • Other projects as needed.

EDUCATION, SKILLS, and/or EXPERIENCE

B.A. with 3-5 years' experience in human services.

Strong knowledge of DHS and DMH rules and regulations (Rule 115, 116, 119, 132, 140)

Experience with quality improvement systems.

Knowledge of database and Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)

Analytics skills with the ability to identify trends, problem areas, and the ability to present results/solutions.

Must have the demonstrated ability to multi-task and function in a high-paced environment, positive can do attitude, ability to think creatively and strong organizational skills required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment described here is representative of that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This role is hybrid, with a primary work from home office and flexibility to be in office for scheduled and unscheduled appointment needs, including health and safety inspections, audits, and in-person meetings.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. The work environment may include any of the following: working alone, working with others, verbal contact with others and face-to-face contact.
