OVERVIEW:

The Associate Director of Person-Centered Services is responsible for operational oversight of a variety of CDS Monarch Services. These services may include but are not limited to select Day Habilitation Programs and Residential Homes. The ADPCS ensures that individuals receive the highest quality services through overall management. They have direct responsibility for development and implementation of systems that assist with the delivery of quality services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Provides supervision to CDS Monarch programs

+ Assumes administrative responsibility for all assigned facilities in the agency.

+ Create and implement the ongoing Mission and Vision for programs under supervision. Collaborate with Directors and Managers for the transition of individuals to less restrictive settings while delivering interdisciplinary services in community-based settings.

+ Develop and implement new and ongoing projects.

+ Provides sufficient direction and oversight to ensure that programs are delivered in a manner which incorporates CDS Monarch Program Values

+ Ensures through training, supervision and monitoring that each program operates within the framework of established CDS Monarch Policy and Procedure.

+ Provides sufficient direction and monitoring to ensure that all programs are fully compliant with New York State Office for People with Developmental Disability Standards.

+ Ensures that all Supervisors who report to them are fully trained and understand how to perform job duties assigned to them.

+ Ensures that Supervisors complete assigned job responsibilities related to Incident Management.

+ Provides sufficient direction to ensure that the programs are staffed at established minimum staffing and program staffing levels.

+ Provides sufficient monitoring, training and direction to ensure that spending is contained within authorized levels in the area of personal spending, overtime, and non-personal services.

+ Ensures that Supervisors effectively implement prescribed internal controls related to operational finance, personal allowance and vehicle/equipment usage.

+ Completes site visits to all applicable programs under their supervision to ensure that the program environments and surroundings remain safe, attractive, comfortable, and well-maintained. Collaborates with Facilities Management for preventative maintenance.

+ Assists in the development of environmental and capital improvement plans as necessary for each program.

+ Prepares and submits reports in a timely manner to the Director of Person Centered Services as needed

+ Attends and participates in all meetings as directed by the Director of Person Centered Services.

+ Notifies the Director of Person Centered services of all barriers impeding the completion of all duties and responsibilities.

+ Performs all other necessary duties relevant to the position as directed by the Director of Person Centered Services.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

+ Ability to work independently and motivate others.

+ Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

+ Requires knowledge of computer applications and systems

Education and Experience:

+ Five years experience in human service delivery with the following qualifications:

+ Three of the five years serving the developmentally disabled at minimum

+ Or a Bachelors degree may be substituted for one year of service

+ Or a Masters Degree in Human Services may be substituted for two years of service.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

+ Sedentary environment

+ Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. dead weight.
