Patient Access Lead

We are seeking a strong candidate to support the execution and ongoing success of a Patient Support Program. This role will champion the patient experience, ensuring timely access to critical treatment while building strong relationships with patients, providers, and internal teams. The position reports to the Regional Director and is part of the Global Value & Access Team.

Location: Hybrid role based in the Lexington area, with four office days and one remote day per week.

Responsibilities

Access and Enrollment:

  • Serve as the primary contact for patients and providers within the assigned region.
  • Manage patient enrollment, benefit verifications, and prior authorization follow-ups.
  • Assess financial eligibility and coordinate with pharmacies and training partners to ensure timely access and support.
  • Monitor patient files for timely renewals of reimbursement and financial assistance.
  • Handle inquiries via phone, email, chat, and other communication channels.
  • Visit customers in the field as needed to address reimbursement challenges.

Analytics & KPIs:

  • Analyze program data to identify opportunities for enhancing patient services.
  • Achieve patient access objectives and maintain service levels based on established KPIs.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work with internal teams and external stakeholders, including specialty pharmacies and vendor partners, to address reimbursement issues and improve patient access.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Patient Support Services (8+ years).
  • Experience with product launches in the U.S., with rare disease expertise preferred.
  • Familiarity with specialty pharmacies, payers, and CRMs for patient case management.
  • Strong interpersonal and strategic thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of U.S. legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements for patient support programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience.
