This position is in a civil service competitive class that is subject to examination. Description:Position Summary: The Adams-Banks administration has outlined a bold vision to reimagine the educational experience for all New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) students. Within the context of this vision, the Office of Student Pathways focuses on the alignment of school curriculum, instruction, and operations to ensure that all students graduate with real-world skills and experience. FutureReadyNYC (FRNYC) is the flagship initiative of the Adams-Banks administration to ensure students are prepared for strong careers in high growth high wage industries. The Associate Director, Project and Data Management, will be a key member of the FRNYC and the Career Readiness and Modern Youth Apprenticeship (CRMYA) teams driving the team towards goals and objectives aligned with annual planning milestones. This role is crucial in planning, communicating, executing, and closing Pathways core programming projects efficiently and successfully. Through coordinated efforts with participating high schools and external partners, the Associate Director will ensure the FRNYC and CRMYA teams have the progress monitoring tools and communications infrastructure to support schools in delivering high quality Career Connected Learning. Reports to: Senior Director, FutureReadyNYCDirect Reports: N/AKey Relationships: Works closely with other members of the Career Connected Learning Team, Office of Student Pathways leadership and teams, the Fund for Public Schools, and various training providers and employer partners. Responsibilities
  • Project Planning: Develops project plans, including goals, objectives, key results, timelines, in alignment with FRNYC's and CRMYA's strategic objectives.
  • Project Execution: Coordinates project activities, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Designs and implements an effective communication plan to support internal cohesion and external communication with school administrators and teachers.
  • Data Management: Develops systems for effective data collection, management, and analysis to support FRNYC/CRMYA teams and schools with progress monitoring.
  • Collaboration: Collaborates with other teams within CCL and the larger Office of Student Pathways to manage and drive towards timely completion of projects.
  • Communication & External Engagement: Oversees FRNYC/CRMYA communication efforts including the design, content, and production of communication channels.
  • Professional Learning: Supports the FRNYC and CRMYA professional learning community through training and technical assistance.
  • Annual & Strategic Planning: Works with the Senior Directors to develop annual metrics to inform continuous improvement of program delivery.
  • Risk Management: Identifies potential project risks and develops mitigation strategies.
Qualification Requirements:Minimum
  • A master's degree from an accredited college in a related field and one year of satisfactory full-time professional experience; or
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time professional experience.
Preferred
  • Excellent project design, management, execution and/or program evaluation experience.
  • Proven experience as a data manager.
  • Experience in developing and implementing Career Connected Learning specific training programs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with data analytics and CRM software.

Salary: $103,446 - $107,000
