Associate - Homecare Intake - 40 Hours - Days - Henry Ford Hospital : Job Details

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Associate - Homecare Intake position serves as the clerical support to the intake process for Home Care, Hospice and Private Duty Services. The responsibilities included but are not limited to:

* The main communication between coordinators, intake staff, referral sources, physicians and inter-departments within Henry Ford Allegiance Health.

* Referral source interactions include, but are not limited to, working closely with coordinators, physicians, board and care facilities, other referral sources, patients, management and other staff and the general public.

* The Intake Associate receives general referrals from external sources for nursing, physical and

occupational therapies, medical social work, and home health aides.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

* High school diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

* Completed course work in medical terminology

One (1) year minimum work experience in a healthcare environment preferred

Customer service experience, preferably via telephone communications
