Associates execute basic audit, tax, or other assignments working under the direct supervision of more experienced accountants. CPE will be of broad nature to provide a well-rounded educational opportunity.What your day looks like:
- Reviews the adequacy of client's normal control systems, may document the system for our files, and may perform testing to verify the accuracy of the data provided.
- Imports client data to our workpaper files.
- Prepares workpapers and posts entries to our working trial balance.
- Prepares tax returns as requested.
- Drafts client's financial statements if needed.
What you need for this role:
- Experience and/or a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- Working towards CPA designation.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- General experience using Microsoft Office software applications.
- Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), Statements on Standards for Accounting and Review Services (SSARS), and financial statement disclosures.
- Basic knowledge of corporate, partnership, and individual tax laws.
